I may have talked about my favourite applications before. Whether it was here or over at Silicon Souls I’m not entirely sure, but I thought I’d mention a few apps that I’m absolutely loving at the moment. They aren’t ground breaking applications, or ones that are completely life changing, but they do make my life much easier. So I thought I’d share the love and let you know about a few I think you should have a look at.
1Password
This password management application is fantastic. It stores everything from website user accounts and passwords, to the contents of your wallet, and much more. The fact that I’m able to sync the database to my iPhone is unbelievably useful, (to me at least). This app has come in so handy, on so many occasions, I have no idea how I got by before I started using it.
Luckily my good friend, Lance, was given a license to give away a while ago and decided I would make the most use of it. He wasn’t wrong. However, at the moment if you want to use the application it will cost you a one time license fee of just under $40
It’s well worth it. A trial version of the application can be downloaded here.
Evernote
This is another application that I find myself using on a daily basis. In fact I can’t remember a day in the last few months I haven’t used it. Evernote is a note taking application that can be accessed from multiple sources, and syncs between them all to make sure no matter how you access them, they are always up to date. It allows text notes, iSight notes, and a multitude of other things. They also have an iPhone version, which means I can get at any note I’ve created, from pretty much anywhere.
Before I found Evernote, I was writing things down everywhere. It wasn’t very efficient as I almost never knew exactly where everything was. With Evernote I’m much more efficient, and much more organised.
There is a free version, and a premium version for those that want it. Personally I’m fine with the free version. You can download it here.
Tweetie
Tweetie very quickly became my favourite Twitter application on my iPhone. With the ability to handle multiple Twitter accounts without having to constantly log in an out it became a huge time saver for me. However this was only available on my iPhone. Recently, atebits, released a Mac desktop version of their client. After less than a day of use, it became my favourite OS X Twitter client by far. It does the same as the iPhone client, in that it handles multiple accounts easily, and is so much easier than logging in and out of accounts, or running multiple clients that connect to different accounts.
It looks good, has a system icon to let you know if there are any unread tweets, and works with Growl. What’s not to like. Tweetie comes in both a free version, or an ad-free premium version for those that want it. If you have more than one Twitter account I would highly recommend you give it a try. You can download the Mac client here.
Any recommendations?
Those are three apps I use constantly. In fact if my Mac is switched on, they are guaranteed to be running. If there are any applications you think people/I should try out, please leave a note in the comments.

Awesome to hear you’re loving 1Password!
+1 on Evernote and Tweetie too
