I managed to save my old blog entries from that fucking hard drive. Unfortunately I couldn’t export the database so it’s just the individual php pages. I might combine the decent ones together and dump them in an Uber-post but I haven’t decided yet.
My work on the new templates has slowed a little, in part due to studying, part due to footie on tv, but mostly because I bought the new Madden and I’m hooked.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get the template finished and uploaded soon.
I’m planning on making a start to the new template on my train journey to Edinburgh this afternoon. I was never really happy with the old one I had and this default template just annoys me. Hopefully the Wi-Fi on the train is going to be working, (First Class rocks), so I can do a little CSS research and make the site look as good as possible.
One good thing has certainly come from the old hard drive dying. It means I’m going to be a lot more strict with taking backups of the database and templates from now on.
I managed to catch my train yesterday morning although in the end I managed 2 hours sleep. I was wiped out the whole day and ended up crashing out at 6pm for a couple of hours in the hotel.
The journey from Edinburgh to London was pretty good for a change even though going by train adds an extra hour or so onto the overall journey. Travelling 1st class on a train and getting adecent breakfast is so much better than being squeezed into economy class seats on a plane.
The other plus point was that it let me watch the Family Guy movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. I laughed my ass of watching this movie. It’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. I’m looking forward to it officially coming out in the UK next month so I can buy it and I’m really looking forward to Family Guy Season 4 starting on TV soon too.
The plan for tonight is to meet up with my buddy Lance for a “few” beers. It should be a cool night since I haven’t seen him in a long time and our nights out were always very fun events.
I have to say though I’m looking forward to getting home tomorrow, I’ve had a perpetual headache since I arrived in London yesterday which makes everything so much more annoying than it actually is. Hopefully the beer will dull the ache!
Since my server hard drive died at the weekend the site has been down. I’ve only just gotten it back up and running again. The hard drive dying was very unexpected so because of that I didn’t have any real backups of the old site. So I’m going to take the opportunity to redo all the templates.
I’m off down to London to work tomorrow morning…in fact I go get the train in about 4 hours…I really should be asleep!!!
I’m takinmy camera with me to London so hopefully I’ll have a few new photo’s on my Buzznet account. It’s here
Sorry the default template sucks balls but you’ll just have to live with it for now.
Chris
I ordered a custom card protector from dealerbuttons.com a few weeks ago and it finally arrived yesterday morning, (it had to ship from the states). It has the website logo in the centre, with my name along the top and the words No Tilt along the bottom. On the back it has the website address.
I can’t even begin to explain how cool it is so have a look at the photo blog and see a couple of pics I took of it yesterday. I used it at a home game I played last night, and came away with a small profit after playing some decent poker. Already it’s bringing me some good fortune…
If you’re looking for something like this or a really cool dealer button go have a look at dealerbuttons.com and drop Jacque an email
